What would you like to see in the plans?
The initial proposals are based on our assessment work and consultation with some local representatives to date, but this event gives you the opportunity to tell us what you would like to see here. The location offers the opportunity to create a new community ‘hub’ in the heart of the development which would connect Tockwith with the Marston Rudgate Business Park.
Local clubs and organisations would benefit from being able to use new community assets in this area including new sports facilities and a community café. It presents an excellent opportunity to address the needs of local residents through providing a modern and safe environment for groups to meet. We welcome any feedback on the initial proposals, and any thoughts you may have about what could be included should the redevelopment of this site progress.
Process and timescales
The development of this Site will provide a new highly sustainable extension to Tockwith with a range of new homes alongside services and facilities which will complement those already available and help in supporting the local community. This consultation period runs until the 10th June 2026, after which we will take account of all comments received. We currently anticipate that an outline planning application will be submitted to the Council in late summer 2026.
Details of the planning application including a Statement of Community Involvement which assesses the feedback from this consultation event will be made available on the Council’s Public Access website once the planning application has been submitted and validated.
